HomeBase is a nonprofit public policy law firm located in San Francisco with the mission to end homelessness, prevent its reoccurrence and decrease its impact on communities.
Through the Community Leadership Project, HomeBase provides grants of $50,000 over three years to five organizations focused on homeless and low-income populations.

Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties
Total Award: $350,000
Program Details:
Each of the five grantee organizations receives a total of approximately $50,000 in general operating funds over three years, as well as technical assistance support. Rather than provide technical assistance programs to the group as a whole, HomeBase provides assistance to individual organizations. Examples of assistance include:
- Helping an agency develop a strategic plan
- Helping an agency develop a fundraising plan
- Helping a service agency do outreach to underrepresented ethnic-specific organizations
- Helping an organization prepare a proposal for funding
- Helping a larger service organization develop a client tracking program
