Rockwood Leadership Institute
A grant to support leaders of color to participate in an intensive leadership development program.
The nationally recognized Rockwood Leadership Institute delivers the best practices and methodologies in leadership development to the nonprofit community. Rockwood’s vision is to develop thousands of inspired social change agents trained in partnership, communication, conflict resolution, team building, planning and producing powerful results.
Regions Served:
- Bay Area: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma counties
- Central Coast: Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties
- San Joaquin Valley: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare counties
Total Award: $300,000
Program Details:
Rockwood has designed the Fellowship for California Leaders of Color to offer transformational leadership tools to a community of nonprofit leaders. Rockwood will select three cohorts of 18 Fellows each, for a total of 54 leaders. The program model includes a suite of coordinated activities that take place over a year, including two four-day leadership training retreats, peer coaching, and online resources.
Selection process:
Participants must be nominated for the program, and self-nominations are also accepted. Rockwood staff review the nominations, invite individuals to apply, review applications, and conduct interviews.
