Women's Foundation of California
The Women’s Foundation of California invests in women and girls to build a more just and equitable society. The foundation places grantmaking emphasis on supporting organizations working toward long-term systemic change in the areas of reproductive justice, environmental health and justice, and economic justice.
Through the Community Leadership Project, the Women’s Foundation of California provides core operating support and capacity-building grants to 10 small and midsize organizations serving low-income people and communities of color.
Regions Served: Central Coast and San Joaquin Valley
Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare counties

Program Details:
In its first year, The Women’s Foundation selected and awarded grants to 10 organizations in the Central Coast and San Joaquin Valley working on environmental, women’s and criminal justice issues. Formal technical assistance programs begin later this year, and the foundation is already helping grantees identify and prioritize their capacity-building needs and broaden their networks. The Women’s Foundation of California will also convene grantees and facilitate opportunities for peer relationship building.
